Wordless Wednesday…

I started my 365 day photo project a few months ago and since I’m feeling kind of lazy tonight, I decided to share some of my favorite shots with you.  Enjoy!

Tulips at night.

A blue moon.

Blue skies.

Smiling dog.

Rainy day.

Wordless Wednesday…

I had an excellent trip to Georgia over the weekend and I will give you a full recap…with pictures…but you’re going to have to wait a bit on that.  I have a few hundred pictures to go through and I’m far too tired for that right now.

But I did want to give you an update on the bird situation.  It turns out, I did run into a bird during my travels…

Luckily…this bird doesn’t fly.  He’s more adorable than dangerous!  He became the official mascot of my trip.

Stay tuned for some excellent photos and some stories that could only come from Georgia…

(Mostly) Wordless Wednesday…

Our house in CT is basically in the woods.  There’s a lot of nature…trees and flowers and birds and squirrels and chipmunks.

A few weekends ago, I went out to get the newspaper and I saw these guys next to the garage…

They didn’t run away when they heard me and I got to watch them for a while, which was fun.

But later that day, I found this guy in the front yard…

That was a little too much nature for me!  It made me really miss the city.

Wordless Wednesday…The Christmas Edition…

I got a new camera for my birthday and I love it!  The pictures come out amazing.

Here are a few from Christmas day…

Sofie waiting patiently to open her presents...

My new baby nephew who is only ten days old...

We got a surprise visit from Santa...

All the kids had fun talking to Santa...

Even some of the big kids got in on the action...

I completely forgot my camera on Christmas Eve, when we brought dinner to Dad so I have no pictures of that.  Ooops.  Even though Dad’s still in a rehab facility, we had a really nice day.   We ate dinner, opened presents and watch the Giants beat the Jets.  It was really fun…although, we didn’t have a surprise visit from Santa that day.

Don’t you think J makes the best Santa ever?

Wordless Wednesday…

I promised you more pictures of Christmas in NY.  Well…here you go…

The snowflake that hangs over Fifth Ave and 57th Street.  It’s so pretty and I can never get a really good photo of it.

Trump Tower all lit up in stars.

Cartier wrapped up like a present.

Henri Bendel…where the gown was made out of jelly beans.

More Bendel…on the side of the main windows they have small dioramas that are supposed to be NYC apartments.  I loved them.

My favorites…the angels at Rockefeller Plaza.

And, of course, the Christmas tree.

I hope you enjoyed this little mini tour of NYC’s Christmas decorations.

Wordless Wednesday…

We have a new dog in our house…

His name is Chance.  At first, Sadie wanted to bite his nose off…and she tried really hard…but eventually they became friends…

They snuggled up together on the couch and Sadie got very sleepy…

And they slept together all night long…

Sofie was not allowed to play with Chance at all…Sadie wouldn’t allow it!

In other news…come and see me today over at From The Sidelines and tell me what you think about the Penn State scandal.

Wordless Wednesday…

Welcome to Wordless Wednesday…the Kentucky edition…the story of my trip in photos…

Also…the always awesome Hutch has come out of retirement to give us a recap of what’s been going on in her life lately…including a list of things one can only find in Kentucky.  Make sure to stop by and check it out…you won’t be sorry.

Wordless Wednesday…

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these.  But I had some pictures on my phone that I really wanted to share…

This is Sofie…somehow she managed to wrap herself in this blanket…I still don’t know how she did it…

This is a statue that I found while I was walking around, waiting for my car to be repaired.  At first, I was disgusted to see the graffiti, but then I thought it made the statue kind of interesting…

During that same walk, I stopped to sit on a bench and eat breakfast.  These were my breakfast companions…

And, last…this isn’t a very good picture…but it’s a guy in a pink monkey suit, playing a stand up bass in the subway…

Only in NY!

So annoying…

There is something going on at work and I’m very upset about it.  However, what’s really annoying is that I can’t talk about it!  Unfortunately, I can’t concentrate on anything else either.

So instead, I’m going to show you a picture of puppy sweetness…

That’s Sadie watching her daddy clean snow off the roof.  She was very upset about the whole thing.  She sat by the window and cried until he came inside.

Looking at that sweet little face is about the only thing that is going to put a smile on my face today.

Hope she did the same for you.

Wordless Wednesday…

Are these not the most adorable dogs you’ve ever seen???
