(Mostly) Wordless Wednesday…

Our house in CT is basically in the woods.  There’s a lot of nature…trees and flowers and birds and squirrels and chipmunks.

A few weekends ago, I went out to get the newspaper and I saw these guys next to the garage…

They didn’t run away when they heard me and I got to watch them for a while, which was fun.

But later that day, I found this guy in the front yard…

That was a little too much nature for me!  It made me really miss the city.

  1. Hahaha! Oh, Shana. Have you ever seen the flock of turkeys that shows up in our yard in the winter? Holy crap. There’s like ten of them, and they’re HUGE, could feed a few crowds! It *is* a lot of nature for a city girl. You’ll get used to it. Maybe.

  2. WTF? I know you said they’re wild, but I think I would have been the idiot to call Animal Control to report a vulture in my yard.

  3. wow… that’s pretty darn amazing though I’d be in heaven… at least until Tom Turkey decided to chase me then I’d freak out but the deer… so sweet.

  4. Awwwww, are you serious? See, I see these pictures and think “I gotta get out of Hoboken!” The only wildlife we have here are rabid squirrels and rats with wings, errr, pigeons. I’d trade a pigeon for a million turkeys any day :)

Also, hey girly! I’ve missed you! XOXO
