I’m always late…

I’m so late this morning.  The bus driver was doing the bus driving equivalent of a stroll.  I swear, I probably could have gotten here faster if I got off the bus and walked.  Of course, it’s raining out so that was out of the question.

Because of my lateness I don’t have time to finish and edit the post I planned for today.  Instead, I’m borrowing this meme from Salt…who posted it yesterday and tagged all of her readers.

First, I have to answer her 8 questions and then I have to make up 8 questions of my own.  So here are my answers…

1. What was/is your high school’s mascot?  A falcon…which was super lame.

2. If you could punch one Disney character in the face, who would it be? (I pick Goofy…that guy sucks.)  Winnie the Pooh.  Hands down.  I know people love him, but he annoys the hell out of me.

3. If you were stranded on an island, who would be the LAST person you would want there with you? J, definitely.  Because he’s a whiner and instead of doing something to make the situation better, he’d just whine about how bad it sucked.  He doesn’t do well in adverse conditions.  I’d probably end up drowning him.  (But I still love him!)

4. What is your favorite kind of cheese?   I’ve never met a cheese I didn’t like.  But I’d have to say my absolute favorite is mozzarella.

5. What is the weirdest place you ever had to go to the bathroom?  Once when I was a kid, we got a flat tire and we waited forever for a tow truck.  I had to pee really bad so I ended up peeing in the bushes on the side of the road.  It wasn’t my finest moment, but I think I was like 8, so it’s probably not that bad.

6. Do you like camping?  Um, no.  Bugs and dirt and sleeping on the ground…not for me.

7. What is your most irrational fear?  Heights.  I am so scared that I can’t even go up in the attic because coming down scares the crap out of me.

8. Are you a cat or a dog person?  Dog.  Some cats are ok, but I’m not a huge fan.

And here are my questions…

1. Who was the first person you ever kissed and how old were you?

2. What is your all time favorite television show?

3. If you could only eat one meal for a month, what would it be?

4. If you could live anywhere in the world where would you choose and why?

5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

6.  What is the best joke you ever heard?

7. If you could trade lives with anyone for a week, who would it be?

8. What song evokes the strongest memories when you hear it and what does it remind you of?

Now, I’m supposed to pass this along to 8 people, but I don’t want to limit it.  I really want to hear all of your answers to these questions.  So please feel free to play along or even answer the questions in the comments.

Have a fabulous day!

Comments

  1. Oh my god how could I have possibly forgotten about Winnie the Pooh? I cannot STAND him or any of his friends. Eeyore needs to be on anti-depressants and Piglet is such a sniveling whiner. And Rabbit is just an asshole.

The answer to your great questions:

    1. This loser Paul and I was like 14.

    2. You Can’t Do That on Television.

    3. Chicken yellow curry from a restaurant near my house.

    4. Charleston, SC. Because I love it there.

    5. Rainbow Brite.

    6. I suck at jokes.

    7. Obviously I want to trade lives with the gal who writes Hyperbole and a Half according to my hater.

    8. Caribbean Blue by Enya. It makes me think of my childhood and also my wedding.

  2. OK I’m picking a few of the questions to answer…
2-The Office and Gilmore Girls and Lost
    3-Pizza and Salad
5-A hairstylist and Icee Machine operator
6-The one my sister told me right before I was about to get married. I don’t remember what it was though. I just remember it was disturbingly dirty/funny and therefore took my mind off thinking I was going to pass out.

  3. Here goes…
    1 – Uhm…why Wilzie, of course…
2 – no question, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    3 – thin-crusy, NY-style ‘za
4 – San Francisco, awesome food, great weather year round and that would mean I was RICH
5 – a ballerina. Can’t you just picture it…on second thought, you better not
6 – pretty much anything that comes out of Wilzie’s mouth
7 – Christina Hendricks, because then I would be smoking hot and have made out with Nathan Fillion and Jon Hamm
8 – Goodbye to You, Michelle Branch – makes me think of losing people who are close to you, and of Buffy…it played over Willow and Tara’s break up *sniff*

  4. How fun!

    1. This weird neighbor kid who was a friend of my brothers. I was five!

    2. This is a hard one. Hmmmmm…maybe ER.

    3. Pizza and salad.

    4. San Francisco! There’s just an energy there–it’s unlike anywhere I’ve ever been. Oh, and the weather is just beautiful for a large part of the year. Too bad it’s so expensive!

    5. A teacher or a nurse.

    6. I cannot think of a single joke right now.

    7. Probably someone, like yourself, who lives in New York. Life sounds so interesting and different there. I think it might be a tad too crowded and fast-paced for me though!

    8. “I Hope You Dance” makes me bawl every single time I hear it. It makes me think of my youngest sister.

  5. WINNINE THE POOH!?!?! But he’s so cute with his little red shirt and arm in honey jar :)

    1) My neighbor Greg behind the bushes when I was 13
    2) Six Feet Under
    3) General Tso’s “Chicken” from Veggie Heaven, a restaurant in New Jersey
    4) Paris, so I could see Sacre Coeur whenever I wanted
    5) A writer for Rolling Stone
    6) Did you hear the one about the two peanuts in Central Park? One was a-SALT-ed. (I know, it’s terrible. It also happens to be a dad joke)
    7) I think I’m happy with my own :)
    8) I’m totally drawing a blank… but the song from the very last episode of Six Feet Under where Claire is driving her Prius cross-country always inspires me to make a roadtrip.

  6. I’d totally punch Mickey himself.
